To apply for Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2021, candidates must be born between 01 February 2001 and 31 July 2004 (both dates inclusive). If the age limit conditions are not met, the application should be refused outright. Candidate must have completed a 10+2 test with 60 percent or more marks in aggregate in Maths and Physics, as well as at least one of these subjects (Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science) from a Board of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR): Candidates must have completed a 10+2 test with Maths and Physics, as well as at least one of these subjects (Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science) from a Board of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Shortlisted applicants are entitled for a salary during the initial training phase, with a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month.
They will be assigned to Level 3 of the Defence pay hierarchy after completing initial training (Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100). They will also be paying MSP @ Rs. 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus ‘X’ Group pay (only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)) @ Rs. 3600/- per month plus DA (as applicable) as a trainee and Rs. 6200/- per month plus DA on effective completion of AICTE recognized Diploma Course. Written tests, physical fitness tests, medical standards, and visual standards are used to shortlist candidates.
The written examination will be administered in English and Hindi and will be of the objective kind. The question paper will be of 10+2 level standard, and the exam syllabus is available on the official website. For selection, passing the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is required. PFT will include a 1.6-kilometer sprint in 7 minutes, 20 squats, and 10 push-ups. Authorized military doctors will perform a medical examination in accordance with the medical standards set out in the current regulations that apply to sailors upon admission.
