India’s IT Firms Had Hired 51 Lakh Employees in FY22 – Report Says! Here are the Full Details!!! In between the covid situation Indian IT giants have hired around 51 lakh employees across the country in the 2021-22 financial year. On regarding this National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) said that, Indian Information Technology (IT) sectors have directly hired 51 lakh new comers.
As per the NASSCOM report, there would be around 95 lakh new employee required for Indian IT firms by the year 2026. Among them 55 lakh will be digitally skilled with key digital technologies such as cloud computing, AI, big data analytics and IoT, the report said. For the past few years Indian IT firms have recorded a lot new hiring and employees. Especially, India’s biggest IT companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro and Infosys have been hiring thousands of new employees in every quarter. Meanwhile, under the Digital India program other economic sectors have created large opportunities for new comers.

Moreover, the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeITY) says that, by the year 2025-26 India will digitally enabled jobs nearly 60 to 65 million. In between NASSCOM has created a programme titled ‘Future Skills PRIME’ to develop some skills on Information Technology. On regarding this, nearly 8.20 Lakh candidates have registered on the Future Skills PRIME Portal and among them 1.36 Lakh candidates have completed the courses, report said.
