Over the next 6 months, 86% of the employees working in Indian companies will resign from their jobs due to reasons including lack of job satisfaction, No hike in salary and unhappiness. This, however, hasn’t been as prevalent a reason for resignation as one might expect.
Only 11% of those who have left or are planning to quit say this was the reason for their departure. Career advancement, increased compensation, a role shift, and job happiness are some of the most common reasons given.
According to the survey, the increase in resignations is due to employees looking for the “perfect position at the right firm with the right values and culture”. They are also willing to make certain sacrifices in order to achieve a better work-life balance and general well-being.

If it implies a better work-life balance, general well-being, and happiness, nearly 61 percent of Indian employees would accept a lower wage and even forego a pay raise and/or promotion. Employees in the public sector are more likely than those in the private sector to resign.
