Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022 Qualification
Candidate age limit should not exceeding 25 years, relaxable by 03 years for OBC and 05 years for SC/ST candidates against reserved vacancies. Candidate should have Matriculation or equivalent, should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognized/reputed workshop in the relevant trade under Apprentice Act 1961 or under any other recognized Apprenticeship scheme.
04 years experience in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial training Institute or other recognized institutions, should qualify a trade entrance Examination.
Candidates are shortlisted based on Scrutiny of Application, Document Verification, and Written Examination. Shortlisted candidates are eligible to get a salary for Mechanical Fitter (General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in Pay Level-2 of the pay matrix.
It is mandatory that the envelope containing the application should be clearly superscribed in BOLD letter with notation “Application for the post of Mechanical Fitter” and also the category for which they applied for viz. UR/EWS/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST. Applications without notations will be summarily rejected.
