Indian Army Notification 2018 – 96 JCO (Religious Teachers) Posts
Indian Army has released Notification (Postal Address) for the post of Junior Commissioned Officers (JCO) Religious Teachers for RRT 87 & 88 courses. Applications are invited from interested and eligible Male candidates. Candidates can apply through online & Offline from 05.10.2018 to 03.11.2018.

Age Limit:
- For Civilian and In-Service Candidates – Candidates should have completed Minimum 25 years to Maximum 34 years as on below 40 years as on 01.10.2019.(i.e. Candidates born between 01 Oct 1985 and 30 Sep 1994 )
Educational/Professional Qualifications :
- For Pandit and Pandit (Gorkha) for Gorkha Regiment – Hindu Candidate Should have Completed Acharya in Sanskrit OR Shastri in Sanskrit with one-year diploma in “Karam Kand”.
- For Granthi – Sikh candidates should have completed “Gyani‟ in Punjabi.
- For Maulvi and Maulvi (Shia) for Ladakh Scouts – Muslim candidates with Maulvi Alim in Arabic or Adib Alim in Urdu
- For Padre – Christian candidates who have been ordained priesthood by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is still on the approved list of the local Bishop
- For Bodh Monk (Mahayana) – Buddhist (Mahayana) candidates who have been ordained Monk/Buddhist Priest, by the Appropriate Authority. The term Appropriate Authority will mean Head Priest of the Monastery where the person has been initiated into priesthood. The head priest should be in possession of Geshe (Ph.D).

- Stage 2 : Interview

- For Pandit, Granthi, Padri and Maulvi (Sunni) categories: Candidates can apply Online through official Website : www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
- For Pandit (Gorkha) category: Applying for Pandit (Gorkha) category will submit written application duly filled to Gorkha Recruiting Depot, Kunraghat.
- For Civil Muslim(Shia) Candidates of Ladakh region: Applying for Maulvi(Shia) category will submit written application duly filled to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh
- For Civil Buddhist (Mahayana) Candidates of other than Sikkim Region:Applying for Bodh Monk will submit written application duly filled to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre, Leh.
