India Will Face Biggest Industrial Crisis? 69% of Jobs Under the Threat of Automation – Report Says!!! Industry and the job creation becomes the biggest challenge facing India with a population of hundreds of millions. That means, there are some problems in providing enough jobs to the working people in our country. Meanwhile, a recent report by market analysis firm Forester on ‘Forecasting the Future of Jobs’ said that, in between 2020 and 2040 years 69 percent of Indian jobs will be threatened by automation.
India has being one of the few economies, it will likely to face challenges in incorporating automation and creating new jobs in the future. And by the year of 2040, India alone will add 160 million workers to its working population in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, and by 2025 India’s working population will overtake China’s, according to a data. But the biggest challenge India will faced in creating enough jobs for the working population.
In India, the growth rate of IT services companies has doubled from 7 to 8 percent to 20 percent after the Covid pandemic period. On the other hand the average working age of a worker in India is 38. This number is 47 in China and 46 in South Korea. Now the number of jobs lost to automation in India will be less compared to other APAC countries such as South Korea, Japan and Australia, the report said.
