Young Scientist Programme

Indian Space Research Organisation has launched a special programme for School Children called “Young Scientist Programme” “YUvaVIgyaniKAryakram” from this year. The Program is primarily aimed at imparting basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger ones with the intent of arousing their interest in the emerging areas of Space activities.

Pradhan MantriShram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) Yojana

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) Yojana at Vastral in Gujarat. The national pension scheme for workers and labourers of unorganized sector was announced in the interim budget in February this year. He also distributed the PM-SYM pension cards to select beneficiaries.
It will provide monthly pension of 3000 rupees to the employees of unorganized sector after 60 years of age.

One Nation, One Card

PM launches One Nation, One Card in Ahmedabad for Mobility Single Card for seamless travel through different metros and other transport systems. National Common Mobility Card, NCMC- India‟s first indigenously developed payment platform Scheme to provide financial assistance for transport, marketing of agriculture products
The government has introduced a scheme for providing financial assistance for transport and marketing of agriculture products with a view to boosting export of farm commodities to certain countries in Europe and North America.
Under the Transport and Marketing Assistance scheme, the government would reimburse a certain portion of freight charges and provide assistance for marketing of agricultural produce.
It would be available for exports affected from March 1 this year to March 2020.

Jan Aushadhi scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the Jan Aushadhi scheme, under which the government provides quality medicines at affordable rates, has led to savings worth around one thousand crore rupees for common people.

India Cooling Action Plan

India is one of the first countries in the world to develop a comprehensive Cooling Action plan which has a long term vision to address the cooling requirement across sectors and lists out actions which can help reduce the cooling demand. Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Harsh Vardhan released the India Cooling Action Plan (ICAP).

Star rating programme launched for Microwave Ovens and Washing Machines; expected to save over 3.0 Billion Units by 2030.
National Energy Efficiency Strategy Plan 2031 – UNNATEE (Unlocking NATional Energy
Efficiency potential) also launched.

“Menstrual Hygiene Management Program”

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), under the guidance of Ministry of Steel, has associated with district administration of Nuh in Haryana in an unique initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility for supporting the “Menstrual Hygiene Management Program”.
