‘SevaBhojYojna’

  • Ministry of Culture, Government of India has introduced a new scheme namely ‘SevaBhojYojna’ seeks to reimburse Central Share of CGST and IGST on items for Food/Prasad/Langar/Bhandara offered free of cost by Charitable Religious Institutions.

“Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana”

  • Odisha government launched a health insurance scheme for working journalists in the state.

Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan

  • Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan being implemented in 25 villages in each of the 111 Aspirational Districts from 1st June to 31st July, 2018.
  • Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan undertakes various activities to promote best farming practices and enhance Agricultural income.

Janaushadi Suvidha

  • Government launches ‘JANAUSHADHI SUVIDHA’ Oxo-biodegradable Sanitary Napkin under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).
  • Affordable sanitary napkins at Rs. 2.50 per pad now available at over 3600 Janaushadhi Kendras functional in 33 States/UTs across India.

Ganga Praharis

  • Ganga Praharis to Boost Bio-Diversity conservation to educate motivate and ensure protection of aquatic species of river Ganga over Ganga basin states of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal.
  • Around 210 Sensitization Programs, Village Level Meetings, Trainings and Workshops already conducted.

Atal Bhujal  Yojana

  • The World Bank has approved Atal Bhujal Yojana (ABHY), a Rs.6000 crore Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
  • The scheme aims to improve ground water management in priority areas in the country through community participation.

Swajal scheme

  • A National Consultation on the National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) and Swajal was held in the Capital. Swajal Launched in 115 Aspirational Districts of India. Centre to Spend Rs 1000 Crores to Provide Clean Drinking Water to 27,500 Quality-Affected Habitations.

SKY Scheme for farmers to generate solar power

  • The Gujarat government on Saturday launched a solar power scheme for farmers- Suryashakti Kisan Yojana (SKY) enabling them to generate electricity for their captive consumption as well as sell the surplus power to the grid and earn an extra buck.

Muhammodayam – a model in wetland conservation

  • The project, titled ‘Muhammodayam’, is aimed at the conservation of the Vembanad Lake ecosystem by developing sustainable livelihoods and management of natural resources.

Project Gandiva

  • The projection is to make Andhra Pradesh No.1 in the country in athletics by 2021, bag medals in Asian and Commonwealth games in 2022, compete in the Olympics in 2024 and secure medals in the year 2028.

PM inaugurates urban development projects

  • Prime Minister Modi remotely inaugurated urban development projects at various locations across the State. These include houses under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, urban drinking water supply schemes, urban solid waste management, urban sanitation, urban transportation and urban landscape projects.
  • At an event in Indore, he also distributed the Swachh Survekshan-2018 Awards, and launched the Swachh Survekshan-2018 results dashboard.

Solar Charkha Mission

  • The President of India launched the Solar Charkha Mission which will cover 50 clusters and every cluster will employ 400 to 2000 artisans. The Solar Charkha Mission will generate employment in rural areas and contribute to the green economy.

‘Sampark Portal’

  • MSME Sampark Portal, launched will be very useful in developing skill-pool and in enabling trained youth to know about different employment opportunities.
