World Embryologists Day
- Today is World Embryologists Day. A day to celebrate the scientists in reproductive medicine.
- This day was chosen because it is the birthday of Louise Brown, the first IVF baby.
- Louise Joy Brown was born at Oldham General Hospital, Oldham, by planned Caesarean section delivered by registrar John Webster.She weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces (2.608 kg) at birth.
- Louise Joy Brown (born 25 July 1978) is an English woman known for being the first human to have been born after conception by in vitro fertilisation, or IVF.
- Edwards is the father of Test Tube Baby.
- Edwards Earned The Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2010. For his pioneering work on in (IVF) in the 1950s.
