March 1 Zero Discrimination Day

Aims to address the issue of discrimination faced by people across the world. The day further intend to achieve equality before law throughout all member countries of the UN.

2019 Theme – ‘Act to change laws that Discriminate’
March 3 World Wildlife Day On 20 December 2013, at its 68th session, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) decided to proclaim 3 March, the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), as World Wildlife Day, which was proposed by Thailand, to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild fauna and flora. 
2019 theme : “Life below water: for people and planet”
March 8 International Women’s Day The purpose of the theme is to achieve gender equality by putting innovation by women and girls, for women and girls, at the heart of efforts.

March 14 World Kidney Day The day is observed annually on the second Thursday in March to create awareness on the importance of kidneys and reducing the frequency and impact of kidney diseases

March 15 World Sleep Day Created and hosted by World Sleep Society, World Sleep Day is an internationally recognized awareness event bringing researchers, health professionals and patients together to recognize sleep and its important impact on our health

March 21 International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on 21 March. Proclaiming the day in 1966, the United Nations General Assembly called on the international community to redouble its efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination.
 2019 Theme: Mitigating and countering rising nationalist populism and extreme supremacist ideologies
March 21 World Poetry Day World Poetry Day is celebrated on 21 March, and was declared by UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in 1999.
March 21 World Down Syndrome Day On this day, people with Down syndrome and those who live and work with them throughout the world organize and participate in activities and events to raise public awareness and create a single global voice for advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.
March 22 International Day of Forests The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 March the International Day of Forests (IDF) in 2012. The theme for each International Day of Forests is chosen by the Collaborative Partnership on Forests.

March 23 World Meteorological Day Every year on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization commemorates the coming into force of the Convention establishing the World Meteorological Organization on 23 March 1950

March 24 World Tuberculosis Day The date marks the day in 1882 when Dr Robert Koch announced that he had discovered the bacterium that causes TB. Tuberculosis is one of the top ten causes of death worldwide. India has renewed its commitments and intentions to end TB by 2025.
2019 Theme – ‘It’s time’.
March 25 International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade is a United Nations international observance designated in 2007 to be marked on 25 March every year.
