The most offers were made at the IIT Madras Placement in 2022, and the biggest package this year was Rs.2 crores. In the first phase of placement this year, 14 organisations submitted 45 offers from abroad. Students make an average salary of Rs.21.48 lakh annually.

Indian Institute of Technology Madras Placement 2022 had a record-breaking amount of offers. With over 1900 offers, the biggest package for this academic year was Rs.19, 851,700. According to the institution’s official statement, job offers have been made to 80% of the students who registered for placements. The placement campaign at IIT Madras is divided into phases this year, and only Phase I saw 45 international offers.

The highest salary offered was USD 250,000, and the average salary students received during IIT Madras placements in 2021–2022 was Rs.21.48 lakh per annum. During Phases I and II of placements, the university received a total of 1,199 employment offers from 380 firms.

Additionally, 231 pre-placement offers (PPOs) were obtained by students through their summer internships. According to IIT Madras, this has resulted in a total of 1,430 employment offers, which is a considerable increase over the previous high of 1,151 job offers recorded during the 2018–19 academic year.

In the Phase I, 14 businesses submitted 45 overseas bids, of which 11 were from Rakuten Mobile, Inc. Glean, Micron Technologies, Honda R&D, Cohesity, Da Vinci Derivatives, Accenture Japan, Hilabs Inc., Quantbox Research, MediaTek, Money Forward, Rubrik, Termgrid, and Uber made further foreign bids.

Furthermore, during both Phases I and II of campus placement, 131 startups made as many as 199 offers. This season, the 61 MBA students were all placed, giving the Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras a placement rate of 100%.

Participating companies in the IIT Madras placement drive included Deloitte India, Flipkart, Intel, Microsoft India, Larsen & Toubro, among others.
