About ICMR:
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest and largest medical research bodies in the world. The ICMR is funded by the Government of India through the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. In 2007 the organization established the Clinical Trials Registry – India, which is India’s national registry for clinical trials.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Educational Qualification for applying the Consultant (Scientific) post is Post Graduate Degree in Medicine or Public Health or Life Sciences. OR Retired Government Employees with relevant qualification and who were in the grade pay of Rs.5400/- and above. The Desirable Qualification is Adequate working experience in the Medical Subjects. The Candidates shall not exceeding upper age limit of 70 years.
The Selection is based on the performance in the interview. The candidates shortlisted via merit list are invited to attend the interview. The Shortlisted candidates list will be available within 10 days after the last date of application. The Salary for the above mentioned post is Rs. 60,000/- .
