- Earlier, IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) pre-exam was held on December 26, 2021. At the same time, the candidates who passed this exam will now appear for the Mains exam on 30.01.2022. A total of 1828 posts are to be filled through IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2021. Out of which 220 posts are for Specialist IT Officer, 884 posts for Agriculture Field Officer, 84 posts for Rajbhasha Adhikari, 44 posts for Law Officer, 61 seats for HR or Personal Officer and 535 for Marketing Officer.
- Online Main Examination for the posts of Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer will consist of objective tests for 60 marks. Online Main Examination for the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari will consist of Objective and Descriptive Test. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be conducted online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer for Rajbhasha Adhikari.

- There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.
