Huge No. Of Vacant Positions in Delhi Police Department: Check The Report By Parliament Panel: On Yesterday’s meeting, the Parliamentary panel quoted some important details about the vacancy in the Delhi police. According to the report, there are a total of 13,525 vacancies in Delhi police which is almost 14% of their total sanctioned strength of 94,254.
The parliamentary standing committee on Home Affairs, headed by Brijlal, Member of Parliament has said that the recruitment process for the 3,861 posts in Delhi police is going on and the process will be finished within the stipulated time. The panel also said that the remaining 9,664 vacancies are expected to be filled as per the plan by the Delhi police.
This will improve the police strength to maintain the law and order in National Capital Region. The committee also recommended Delhi police to come up with two different mechanisms to cope with the neighbouring state police. One mechanism is to maintain the law and order in the border regions and the other one is to main the law and order inside the city said the committee.
