HSC examination is more important to students to choose their careers. SSC Board Examination is cancelled in Maharashtra due to outbreak of Covid-19. The 12th examination just postponed Now. The State government in Affidavit Said the final decision regards the 12th board examination will be taken after the centre makes a move on the national Level.
After cancelled the 10th board examination by Maharashtra state government, The High Court said state government “cancelling the 10th board examination is like making fun of the education system” and HC directed to file its affidavit on plea. The State government replied in affidavit says that there were around 16 lakhs students appear for SSC each year. Conducting the SSC Board examination is a biggest workout which involves teachers and parents as well as the police and transport system.
The online Classes in the academic year is completely conducted on online mode only because of the covid-19 infection. The Maharashtra State Government previous planned to conduct the SSC Board examination But the Second wave of covid-19 started to spread amid of that situation. Because of outbreak of corona situation state government consulted with stakeholders and educators and decided to postponed the SSC Examination till June. But Taking account of the mammoth exercise the SSC board examination was cancelled on April-19.
But Considering the HSC examination it is not like the 10th board examination. although 10th mark is more important milestone in the education of the student but not likely as 12th board examination. State Government is their affidavit said that Based on 12th marks the path of the student’s careers will be decided. Also said students in 12th standard are “more matured, independent, socially aware and bodily and mentally fit” than those in Class 10.
The State Government in the affidavit said that comparing the 12th examination and 10th examination is like comparing apples with cheese only because both are edible. State government said that 10th board examination was cancelled not only taking the account of students safely, it was cancelled after considering lives of students, examiners, teaching and non-teaching staff and many others who would be involved in conducting them,” the affidavit said.
Now the number of Covid-19 cases was started to decrease gradually but the situation was still not in full control. After the covid-19 infection came under control the 12th board examination date will be released soon. State government also said in that affidavit that the government has to also come up with a formula on how to evaluate the students. The HC is expected to hear that evaluation procedure by 01.06.2021.
