HP SET Syllabus 2021 – Download Exam Pattern Here!!!! Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission announces holding of State Eligibility Test (SET) for the posts of Assistant Professor(s). The test will be conducted in 22 subjects as listed below at various examination centres located at Shimla, Solan, Mandi, Dharamshala, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Nahan, Una, Kullu and Chamba subject to number of candidates.

HP Scheme of SET Examination

The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions in two separate sessions as under:

Session	Paper	Marks	Number of question	Duration
First	I	100	50 questions all are compulsory	1 Hour (10:30 AM to 11.30 AM)
Second	II	200	100 questions all are compulsory	2 Hours (2.00 PM to 4.00 PM)

Paper-I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidates.

Paper-II Shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I & Paper-II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet provided along with the test booklet.
