HP PAT Exam Pattern 2021 :

The HP PAT 2021 Test shall be conducted through a single question paper of 03 hours duration as per the following details :

Subjects	Marks
Mathematics	50 Questions
Physics	50 Questions
Chemistry	30 Questions
English	20 Questions
TOTAL	150 Questions

• All questions will be of objective type and each question carries equal marks. Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers.
• For correct answer, 04(four) marks will be awarded and 01(one) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
• The question booklet will be set and supplied in bi-lingual i.e. English & Hindi for the Math, Physics & Chemistry portion only.

HP PAT Syllabus 2021 :

English:

The English section will include the questions in the following topics.

• Present Perfect V/S Simple Past
• Active and Passive voice
• Avoiding Repetition
• Countable and uncountable
• Comparisons, Conditionals and Connectors
• Modals Expressing Attitude
• Nominalization
• Non Finite
• Prepositions
• Relatives
• Reported Speech
• Subject Verb Agreement
• Articles
• Nouns
• Determiners
• Defecting and Correcting Errors
• Dialogue Completion
• Fill up the blanks with suitable words
• Re arranginging the jumble words and phrases
• Future time references
• Present Continuous tense
• Present Perfect Tense
• Simple Past V/S Past Perfect.

Physics: 

The physics will include questions in the following topics.

• Light: Reflection and Refraction
• Human Eye and Electricity
• Magnetic effect of the Electric current, and
• Sources of the Energy and Environment.

Chemistry:

There will be a total of 25 questions that will be asked under the chemistry section having the weightage of 50 marks in the exam. The topics under the chemistry section are mentioned below.

• Structure of the Atom
• Metal and the Non metal
• Chemical Reaction and the Equations
• Acidic, Bases and Salts
• Carbon and their compounds
• Periodic Classification of the Elements.

Mathematics:

There will be a total of 50 questions that will be asked under the chemistry section having the weightage of 50 marks in the exam. The topics under the maths section are mentioned below.

• Arithmetic Progression
• Triangles
• Co-Ordinate Geometry
• Trigonometry
