Himachal Pradesh: Schools for Classes 9 to 12 – Open on September 27. Schools in Himachal Pradesh will reopen from 27.09.2021 for class 9 to 12 students via offline i.e. face-to-face classes. After the Covid scare, kids in grades 9 through 12 can return to school to finish their studies. Class 9 through class 12 will return in an offline format. Online lessons and exams will continue to be offered in an online format until Class 8. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over a state Cabinet meeting that made the decision.
Earlier in August, the Himachal Pradesh government had shut schools for Classes 10, 11 and 12 in scare of the possible third coronavirus wave. The state government had allowed reopening of schools for Classes 10, 11 and 12 from August 2. The students of standard 5th and 8th were also permitted to visit the schools for doubt clearances from August 2.
Due of the Covid epidemic, schools in Himachal Pradesh were closed till September 25. During this time, however, both teaching and non-teaching personnel continued to attend school.

Students attending lessons in offline mode will be expected to wear face masks, follow respiratory etiquette, and keep social distance in order to avoid contracting Covid and ensure that everyone in the classroom, including teaching and non-teaching personnel, is safe.
With Covid cases declining, the governments in the respective states have been announcing the school reopening date. While most states including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have resumed offline classes for the school students, states like Bihar will resume their Anganwadis and primary schools from November 15.
