The private banking organization HDFC hiked the fixed deposit interest rate with the principle amount. This new announcement will get active from 18th August 2022. The increment in fixed deposit tenor upto the 40 basis points (bps). This decision of the HDFC would taken by the initiative from the Reserve bank of India.

The Reserve Bank of India already increased the repo interest by 50 basis points in its monetary policy meeting. This scheme got activated from 8th August 2022. On following this incident the HDFC decide to increase its fixed deposit interest rate. As per the sources the increasing rates are from 2.75 percentages from 6.25 percentages based on the number of days.
