HCL reported on Tuesday that its net profit for the first quarter ended in June 2022 increased by 2.4 percent to Rs 3,283 crore. It had a net profit of Rs 3,205 crore during the prior fiscal year.

When compared to the same quarter previous year, its operating revenue increased 17%, to Rs 23,464 crore, or Rs 20,068 crore.In the first quarter, the corporation hired 6,023 freshmen, and it expects to hire 10,400 in the second. According to HCL Technologies’ Chief Human Resources Officer Apparao VV, the business would hire between 30,000 and 35,000 freshmen in total during FY23. Additionally, it has boosted the number of employees in tier 2 and tier 3 cities including Madurai, Lucknow, and Vijayawada. The company currently has 2,10,966 employees.

In addition, new talent markets will be investigated, he added, noting that currently 12–15% of the company’s employees works remotely. According to him, HCL’s new bookings increased by 23.4 percent year over year, and our pipeline is still very strong. The operating margin and EBITDA margin for the IT company were both 17 and 21.2 percent, respectively.
