Govt. Hikes DA By 16% For These Central Government Employees: The government has hiked the Dearness Allowances (DA) by 16% for central government and central autonomous body employees who are still drawing their salary as per the 5th pay commission. With this hike, the DA has been increased to 412% from 396% from basic pay. This updated DA will come into effect from 01.01.2023.
This was announced by the Department of Expenditure which comes under the Ministry of Finance. This announcement is a piece of happy news for the employee under the mentioned criteria. Centre hiked the DA for government employees who are receiving salary as per the 7th pay commission and pensioners by 4% in April 2023.
That came into effect on January 1. It is also expected that government may release the DA hike news for the second half of 2023. It is anticipated that the DA will be increased by 3 to 4% from July to December month. Along with that, the dearness relief for pensioners will also be hiked.
