Jharkhand Government Schools Will Be Closed on the Third Saturday of Every Month, With No Mid-day Meals!! Third Saturday of the month will be a closed day for Jharkhand government schools students, and there will be no mid-day meals as per the announcement released. According to a Notification from Rajesh Sharma,

The Education Secretary, there won’t be a mid-day meal on the third Saturday because of a school holiday. Children must receive a mid-day meal on at least 252 days a year, according to Sharma. The number of days off will rise to 12 in a year because of the holiday on the third Saturday, but there will be a charge.The All Jharkhand State Primary Teachers Association led the call for a holiday to be observed on the third Saturday of each month.

Vijendra Choubey, the President of the Union State, Ramamurthy Thakur, and Naseem Ahmed, the Government’s Chief Spokesperson, had said that on Saturday,

Six-hour lessons would be shortened to three and a half hours. In response to this, the teachers’ union complained and wanted a holiday on the third Saturday.

On the third Saturday, neither the faculty nor the students at the government school in Jharkhand would attend. The classes will start at 10 a.m. on other Saturdays.

The School Education and Literacy Department has announced that

Jharkhand schools will be closed on the third Saturday of every month. On the basis of a request by the Teachers’ Unions, the state administration made its decision. Third Saturdays are off-limits for both teachers and students. Other Saturdays will have classes that start at 10 am and last all day.

Anand Kishore Sahu, state president of the Jharkhand Progressive Teachers Association, and Baljit Kumar Singh, state general secretary, have also extended their appreciation to the government. The Jharkhand government has also received praise from other instructors, including Sanjay Dubey, Pradyuman Singh, RishikeshPathak, and trained assistant teachers of the SangharshMorcha.

This is good news for some children & Teachers at the same time bad news for the students who are in below poverty line who are seeking for the food. The students who are not getting or not able to buy the foods this is the heart breaking news for them because the one third Saturday of every month they are going to beg for food because of the Government they are taking the food.
