Government Jobs for Transgenders – How to Apply? Decision in the state cabinet! Central and state governments are announcing new schemes for transgenders in India. In that way, an important announcement has been made regarding transgenders applying for government jobs in the state of West Bengal.

In India, the government classifies transgenders as a third gender, just like male and female. The Central and State Governments are providing various welfare programs to help them get their own identity in the society like others and fulfill their needs. Now, the West Bengal has Decided to Provide Government Jobs in the State. Earlier, Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya has already said that new rules will be made under the Protection of Transgender Rights Act, 2019.
At Present Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has directed the social welfare department to make laws so that transgenders can have equal opportunities as others in all sectors of the state. After discussing this, the West Bengal Cabinet has Planned to provide government jobs under the general category of transgenders. It is also said that the bill will be tabled in the next budget session. With this decision of the cabinet, it is expected that transgenders will now get government jobs without discrimination.
