The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national wide examination conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee. This GATE exam has been conducted for the purpose of getting admission for Master’s and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology and Architecture, Doctoral programs in Arts and Science in the institutions supported by the Education Ministry of India.

Generally, the GATE examination is a Computer Based Test (CBT). This time the GATE exam is been conducted by the The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) of Kanpur. According to this official announcement, the GATE exam 2023 will be held in the month of February on the dates 4, 5, 11 and 12th. And the online registration for this exam will begin in the first week of September, notification said.

According to this Abhay Karandikar, the Director IIT Kanpur said in a tweet, ‘The examination will be held on 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th of February 2023. The online registration will begin in the first week of September 2022. Details of the examination shall be available on the #GATE2023 website: https://gate.iitk.ac.in’. There are some expectation among the candidates that, the website for applying the exam will be released soon.
