Free Rice Scheme Will Be Implemented From Tomorrow In This State!!! Good Tidings For Peoples: The Karnataka state government has planned to implement the free rice scheme for the state peoples from tomorrow onwards under the scheme name called ‘Anna Bhagya’. This was announced by the state Food and Civil Supplies Minister K H Muniyappa on Friday (30.06.2023).
As of now, the government has planned to credit the money in the bank accounts of beneficiaries on behalf of an additional 5 Kg of rice due to the shortage of rice in the state. The BPL household cardholders will become beneficiaries of this scheme and they will get Rs. 34/ Kilo for the additional 5 kg of rice.
The minister also states that in addition to that rice, the government also planned to give 2 Kg of Ragi and Jowar to the southern and Northern parts of the Karnataka peoples, respectively. These food grains are considered to be a staple in these two regions. The newly formed state government in Karnataka has made many welfare schemes for the people which also included free bus travel for women.
