SWAYAM portal has been known as “Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds”. It has been created by the Ministry of Education, Government of India for offering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on 9th July 2017. Let’s get back to the point. As per the notice released by the board, NCERT has been offering online courses for the School Education system in 11 subject areas (Accountancy, Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, English and Sociology) for classes 11th and 12th.

Now the NCERT is offering 28 MOOCs across 11 subjects for students of classes XI and XII from December 20, 2021 to May 31, 2022. However, the enrollment for the courses is open till 31st March, 2022. The board has also advised the students as these online courses can support continuous learning of students in virtual mode. The main point to note on this notice is “ALL COURCES ARE FREE”. Candidates can use the link provided at bottom of this page to download the official notice and apply for the courses.
