Finance Minister Admits that Changes Required in TNPSC Examination: Said It is Better day for Changes: Tamil Nadu Finance and Human Resources Management Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan on Saturday admitted strong that we must need changes in the conduct of Tamil Nadu Public Services Commission (TNPSC). The existing method is not compatible for present situation and also announced that lots of changes required in Basic Structure of TNPSC.

Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan said that by this existing method we can only recruit 10000 people at one time as far as we can and today we already behind with 30000 vacant post. We need minimum 3 years to fill all those post with this structure. That’s why we needed to give 2 years of age relaxation in retirement for employees.
Finance Minster also said that “Every year TNPSC required to conduct 80 different exams for recruiting candidates for various posts and category”. It is not the best option for this current situation. So there are many changes to conduct Common Eligibility Test (CET) in TNPSC examination. He said that “It is for the Chief Minister to decide. I do not want to go too far ahead of myself”.

Mr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan also pointed that there is not standardized qualification in treasury and audit departments. Government also needed engineering graduates and diploma holders in various departments. Marks obtained in TNSPC examination is not only enough for all posts. Training can equip a candidate with required qualification, he said.
