Age Limit

Candidate age limit should not exceed 24 years as on 01.07.2022. The upper AgeLimit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates.

Education Qualification

• Candidate should pass in Plus 2/ VHSC or pass in ITI of any trade of 2 years duration is necessary.
• A physical standard of Height is 167 cm, Weight is 50 kg and Chest-Normal is 81 cm, Chest- expanded is 86 cm needed.

FACT Fire and Safety Course 2022 Selection process

Selection of candidates will be done based on the marks scored in the qualifying examination and multiple selection rounds via written test, physical endurance round and interview. The weightage of marks was fixed as 35% for the qualifying examination, 25% for written test, 25% for endurance test and15 % for interview.

FACT Fire and Safety Course 2022 Application Fee

• Application fee for General/OBC/EWS is Rs. 52500/- and for SC/ST, Dependents of Ex-employees/ employees of FACT include CLR/ DRWs on regular basis is Rs. 48000/-.
• Our One – Year Diploma Course in Fire & Safety Engineering is approved by State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) Govt. of Kerala, hence we are entitled for exception from paying service tax.

Features of one-year Diploma Course in Fire & Safety Engineering

Duration: One year- Period from August to July

Subjects:

• Semester I – Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Safety & Law, Fire Engineering-I.
• Semester II – Industrial Hygiene, Appraisal Analysis and Control methods, Safety in Construction and Fire Engineering-II.
• Practical training in Fire and Safety systems for more than 200 hours.
• Personality development and soft skill training.
• Practical training like Squad drills, Hose drills, Hydrant drill, Pump drills, Water and Foam Tender drills, Ladder drills, Rescue drills, Breathing Apparatus drills, Foam drills,practical exercise, resuscitations, words of command etc.
• Special certificate program in First Aid, in association with Indian Red Cross Society, as a part of the Diploma course.
