FACT Recruitment Age Limit
Candidate’s age should between 22 years and 62 years as on 01.01.2022 to apply for the post of Barge Master in FACT Recruitment 2022.
Barge Master Qualification
- Candidates needed to have valid Second Class Masters Certificate under Kerala Inland Vessels Rules.
- Applicant needed to have minimum 1 year of work experience as Master in Boat or Barge or Ship.
- Candidates who are having experience in Inland Water Ways of Kochi will be preferred.
FACT Recruitment Selection Process
Applicants will get shortlisted based on qualification and called for Practical/ Skill Test. Final merit list will be based on skill test mark, experience in Inland Water Ways of Kochi, Earlier year of acquiring minimum Second Class Master Certificate and earlier date of birth.
FACT Recruitment Contract Period
Selected candidates will get appointed for the period of 2 years and renewable for maximum period of 2 spells of one year each. Extension will be given based on requirement, performance, assessment, etc.

Barge Master Salary Structure in FACT
Selected candidate for the post of Barge Master will get paid for Rs. 25000 per month and Increment of 3% will be given after completion of each year. Candidates also receive Rs. 800 per trip as trip allowances and Rs. 150 per day as food allowances.
