Google was Fined 4.125 Billion Euros Penalty for this Purpose – European High Court Judgment!! The European High Court has fined Google 4.125 billion euros ($4.13 billion) for using its Android mobile operating system to block rivals. Due to this, Google has suffered a huge setback. The decision was taken by Europe’s second-highest court in Wednesday’s ruling and the fine was reduced from 4.34 billion euros.
The EU antitrust enforcer has imposed a total of 8.25 billion euros in antitrust fines. This is Google’s second court defeat. Commenting on the decision, Europe’s High Court said, ‘The General Court confirms the Commission’s decision that Google has imposed unlawful restrictions on manufacturers of Android mobile devices and mobile network operators to consolidate its dominant position.
Because of this infringement, it is considered appropriate to impose a fine of €4.125 billion on Google’ stated. At the same time, Google said that this decision of the court contradicts their interpretations.
