Entrance Exam to Enter Colleges in TN: Minister’s Assembly Speech Here. Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister Ponmudi said that, “we will not allow entrance examination in colleges in Tamil Nadu”. He reports that information at the assembly of the state. Earlier the University Grants Commission (UGC) has released an announcement of, the need for a public entrance examination for undergraduate education at 45 Central Universities across the country.

The government of the state Tamil Nadu could not ready to take the UGC advice on the introduction of the entrance exam in to the state.  The Minister said that, the introduction of entrance exam in to the state is not possible in any form. The Chief Minister of the state does not allow this entry of the entrance examination.

Already, the current Tamil Nadu government refuses to conduct the medical entrance exam, NEET in the state. They said that, the order of introducing entrance exam as a qualification to get enter into the colleges will make many students of the state to unqualified to get the higher education especially the students who are studied at the government schools. Because the syllabus of most of these entrance exams are based on the CBSE, ICSE boards.
