Apprenticeship Age Limit:
The age of the candidates should between the age limit of the minimum and maximum limit. As per the notification, the minimum age limit of the candidates is 15 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years (The aspirants should not have completed 24 years) of age as on 01.01.2021.
- The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
- The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
- The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- For Ex Servicemen – +3 years
ECR Apprenticeship Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have passed in Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade to apply for this recruitment.
East Central Railway Job Application Fee:
The candidates who fulfill the above eligibility criteria are eligible to apply. Such candidates should pay the application fee of Rs.100/- to submit their online application form. At the same time, no fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
ECR Apprenticeship Salary (Stipend):
The selected candidates will be paid stipend during Apprenticeship at the applicable rates as per extant instructions, Rates are liable to change as per rules and directions issued by Railway Board time to time. The exact details of the stipend package will be intimated by the board soon.

ECR Recruitment Process:
Selection for this apprenticeship training will be done on the basis of merit list for a particular Division/Unit. This merit list will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate with older age shall be preferred by the board.
