The Meteorological Department has predicted that the new Cyclone Mandous forming in the Bay of Bengal may cause heavy rain in Tamil Nadu. In particular, this Mandous Cyclone is expected to cross the coast near Chennai tomorrow December 9. Due to this, it has been announced that Chennai and its suburban areas, Karaikal, Thanjavur, Vellore, Tiruvallur, and Tiruvarur districts are likely to have heavy rainfall.
