Private School Admission for EWS Categories – Delhi Govt Explains in Court!! New student admissions for the upcoming academic year 2023-24 are underway in various states. Accordingly, admissions for the new academic year in private schools in the national capital Delhi have already started. There are reports that the Delhi government has decided to conduct this admission in a transparent manner.
As the Delhi government has assured for creating a transparent, smooth, and problem-free admission process for students under the EWS category, the Court has dismissed the case filed for seeking admission of 44,000 students belonging to weak and backward sections in Delhi private schools under the provisions of Article 12(1)(c).

The Delhi government has said that a portal has been created which will explain the number of vacant seats in the EWS category for this admission and parents of students can apply online for these vacancies.
