Regarding this, the Delhi Transport Department said that the ban will be implemented immediately. Generally, taxis are widely used for transportation in cities like Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi.
Companies like Ola, Uber, and Rapido provide these services. And now, it has been informed that bike taxi services have been banned in the national capital Delhi. According to the Transport Department of Delhi, using two-wheelers for commercial purposes will be considered an offense under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Considering this, the government made an important order to ban two-wheeler services provided. This order will come into effect immediately, the Delhi government said. Moreover, the person who violates the order will be punished with Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 fined and imprisoned.
