  • October 31 – World Cities Day
  • National Unity day (also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people all through India.
  • Radha Krishna Mathur took oath as the first Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Girish Chandra Murmu has been appointed as the first Lieutenant Governor of the J&K Union Territory.
