  1. Today is the birthday of anti-caste and social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Poole:

Jyotirao Govindarao Poole (11 April 1827 – 28 November 1890) was a 19th century Indian social activist, thinker, anti – caste social reformer and writer from Maharashtra. He was the one who started the first school for girls at the bottom of the society. Fule founded the Satyasotha Samaj (Society of Truth Seekers) in 1837. A few years before Poole’s death at the age of 63, he was conferred the title of ‘Mahatma’ by another social reformer, Vithalrao Krishnaji Vandekar. His full name is Mahatma Jyotirao Govindarao Poole.

Her work is said to have expanded in many fields including the abolition of untouchability and her efforts in educating the caste system and women and oppressed caste people.

  1. DRDO and Indian Army successfully test new version of Pinnacle Mk-I rocket system:

The Defense Research and Development Organization and the Indian Army have successfully tested a new version of the Pinnacle rocket system at the Pokhran firing range in Rajasthan. These include the Pinnacle Mk-I (upgraded) rocket system (EPRS) and the Pinnacle Area Daniel Munich (ATM) rocket systems.

Purpose: Pinnacle is a multi-rocket launcher manufactured in India and developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for the Indian Army.

10.India successfully flight-tested Anti-Tank Guided Missile HELINA:

India successfully flight-tested Anti-Tank Guided Missile HELINA.  The missile was launched from an indigenously-developed helicopter at high-altitude ranges.  It is one of the most advanced Anti-Tank Weapons in the world.

The flight test was jointly conducted by the teams of scientists of Defence Research and Development Organisation, Indian Army and Indian Air Force.  The flight trails were conducted from an advance light helicopter the missile was fired successfully engaging a simulated tank target.

  1. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand has introduced Anti-Corruption Processor 1064:

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Tami has introduced the 1064 Anti-Corruption Mobile Processor. This mobile processor has been developed by the Vigilance Department of Uttarakhand.

Purpose: To enable citizens to report corruption-related complaints directly to the authorities.

Purpose: To partner with ISRO UIDAI to provide information and locations on resource centers across India.
