Since 1996, the Aero India Exhibition has been held at the Air Force Base in Elahanga, Bangalore on behalf of the Department of Defense.
The 14th Aero India 2023, which is held every two years, will be held for five days starting from February 13, 2023 and ending on the 17th, and the military department has officially announced that aircraft, helicopters and aircraft manufacturing equipment from various countries will be displayed here.
Procurement of aggregate power of 4500 MW scheme
The Ministry of Power has launched a scheme for procurement of aggregate power of 4500 MW for five years under SHAKTI Policy, PFC Consulting Limited has been designated as the nodal agency.
The states that are facing power shortage and help generation plants to increase their capacities will fully fill their necessities under this scheme, and the Supply of electricity will commence from April 2023.

“AUSTRA HIND 22” bilateral military exercise
The first edition of the bilateral training exercise “AUSTRA HIND 22” between the Indian Army and the Australian Army took place at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (Rajasthan) from 28 November to 11 December 2022.
The main aim of the exercise is to build positive military relations, and promote the ability to operate together while undertaking multi-domain operations in Semi deserts terrain under a UN peace enforcement mandate.
HARIMAU SHAKTI – 2022
India – Malaysia joint military Exercise called “Harimau Shakti -2022” held at Pulai, Kluang, Malaysia on 28th November and will end on 12th December 22. Exercise HARIMAU SHAKTI is an annual training event between the Indian and Malaysian Army which has been conducted since 2012.
The aim of this exercise involves a Command Planning Exercise (CPX) at the Battalion level and Company level Field Training Exercise (FTX) on sub-conventional operations in jungle terrain.
Mahatma Gandhi Statue to be Inaugurated at UN Headquarters
India will assume the UN presidency of the Security Council in December 2022. Following this, India has gifted a statue of Mahatma Gandhi to the UN. The statue will be installed on the lawn in the north of the headquarters and will be unveiled on the 14th December.
It is noted that famous sculptor and Padma Shri awardee Ram Sudar designed the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

“VAANAVIL MANTRAM(Rainbow Forum)”Scheme was launched in Tamil Nadu
Chief Minister M.K.Stalin launched the “VAANAVIL MANTRAM” project at Adi Dravidar Welfare Girls Higher Secondary School in Trichy to stimulate interest in science and mathematics among government school students of classes 6 to 8 in Tamil Nadu.
Under this scheme 100 sciences and mathematics laboratory vehicles were introduced, and it has been announced that the scheme will be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs.25 crore to benefit 25 lakh government school students.
Permanent Ban on Online Gambling Bill-Tamilnadu
‘Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling and Regulation of Online Games Bill 2022’-The Permanent Prohibition Bill was tabled in the Assembly, passed and sent to the Governor for assent by the Tamil Nadu Government on 28th October,2022. The Governor’s assent is yet to be given to the bill to permanently ban online gambling games.
Then by the Article 213 (2) (A) of the Constitution, the Ordinance shall automatically lapse 6 weeks from the date of sitting of the Assembly. Hence the Online Gambling Prohibition Ordinance will become ineffective after November 27, 2022.
Footpath for disabled people was Inaugurated at Chennai Marina Beach
Udayanidhi Stalin, MLA, inaugurated the footpath for the disabled under the Singara Chennai 2.0 project at the Marina.
The footpath is constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.1.14 crore, the corridor is 263 meters long, 3 meters wide and one meter high from the ground.

With no one participating for the post of Chairman, Union Law and Justice Minister Kiran Rijiju has said that P.T.Usha has been elected as the chairman and she is the first woman Chairman to be elected to the post.

Ancient Ganesha statue was excavated
An idol of Lord Ganesha was found in the archaeological survey carried out by the archeologist in the Enathirimangalam, Tenpenna River near Puduppettai which is next to Panrutti in Cuddalore district.
Also, this Ganesha idol is 15 cm high and 7 cm wide, researchers have said that this idol may belong to the Chola period.

Shilp Guru and National Awards conferred to master craftsperson
The Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) has been implementing the scheme of National Awards for master craftspersons since 1965 and Shilp Guru Awards was introduced in 2002. The main objective of the awards is to give recognition for their excellence in craftsmanship and valuable contribution to the Indian Handicrafts and textiles sector.
30 Shilp Guru Awards and 78 National Awards for the year 2017, 2018 and 2019 were presented to master craftsperson, 36 of whom are women and event held on November 28, 2022, The Award consists of a gold coin, Rs.2.00 lakhs prize money, a Tamrapatra, a shawl and a certificate.
International Trade Fair award 2022
The pavilion of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been awarded for “Outstanding Contribution towards Public Communication and Outreach” at 41st India International Trade Fair 2022 held at Pragati Maidan,on 27th Nov 2022.
Award was given to the pavilion for the “Spotlight Conversations” with experts, renowned doctors and other eminent personalities who shared their perspectives on issues ranging from air pollution and its impact on health, adopting a healthy lifestyle etc.

IBA Youth Boxing Championship for Men and Women
The Youth World Championship Series was held on behalf of the International Boxing Federation in La Nucia, Spain from November 14. In this, Vishwanath Suresh from Chennai, India won the gold medal in the men’s 48 kg weight category.
India’s Devika then won the gold medal in the women’s 52kg final. In this category, Vanshaj also win the gold medal.
Pauna Sharma won the silver medal in the women’s 48 kg category of the series. Also, Ashish won a silver medal in the men’s 54 kg weight category. India topped the medal list with 11 medals, followed by Uzbekistan with 10 medals, Ireland and Kazakhstan with 7 medals each.

The Asian Junior Chess Championship was held in the Philippines.
Tamil Nadu player Harsh Vardhan won the gold medal with 7 points in these 9-round tournament.52 young players from 11 Asian countries participated in this series to win the gold medal.
Davis Cup Tennis championship 2022
Davis Cup competition in 2022 took place from 13 to 18 September and from 22 to 27 November 2022, totally 16 teams Participated in the match.
