Digital Life Certificate for Central Government Pensioners and EPFO ​​Pensioners

  • Department of Posts provides a platform for submission of Life Certificates digitally through India Post Payments Bank to Central Government Pensioners and EPFO, Postman at their doorstep.
  • Minister I. Periyaswamy said that a new scheme to provide pension to co-operative sector employees from a portion of the profits will soon be launched in Tamil Nadu for the first time in the country.

150th Commemoration Day VOC website launched.

  • On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Chidambaram Pillai, popularly known as the ‘Navy Tamil’, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin launched a website.
  • A dedicated web page (https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in/voc) has been created on the e-library website of Tamil Digital Education Corporation. It includes 11 books, commentaries on literary works, four book translations, 20 books and five research works.

Prime Minister Modi was released the Tirukkural in 13 languages ​​including Hindi, Urdu and Arabic

  • Narendra Modi released the traditional book of Tamils, Thirukkural, which has been translated into 13 languages, at the Kashi-Tamil Sangam function.

IT Tool to improve health of rural SC Community in Chittoor

  • Indian Institute of Technology Madras(IIT Madras) has developed an Information Technology tool to monitor and improve the health of rural Scheduled Caste (SC) communities in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
  • The IT Tool, developed using open source software, was deployed to gather detailed household-level annual health-related information.

First greenfield airport in Arunachal Pradesh

  • Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a new green airport called Donyi Polo in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. At a cost of Rs.640 crore, a new green airport has been constructed on an area of ​​680 acres.
  • In February 2019, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for a new green airport in Holongi area near the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. With its work complete, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new green airport.

World record by sorting 3500 food bags at Chennai airport
