Digital Life Certificate for Central Government Pensioners and EPFO Pensioners
- Department of Posts provides a platform for submission of Life Certificates digitally through India Post Payments Bank to Central Government Pensioners and EPFO, Postman at their doorstep.
- Minister I. Periyaswamy said that a new scheme to provide pension to co-operative sector employees from a portion of the profits will soon be launched in Tamil Nadu for the first time in the country.
150th Commemoration Day VOC website launched.
- On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Chidambaram Pillai, popularly known as the ‘Navy Tamil’, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin launched a website.
- A dedicated web page (https://www.tamildigitallibrary.in/voc) has been created on the e-library website of Tamil Digital Education Corporation. It includes 11 books, commentaries on literary works, four book translations, 20 books and five research works.
Prime Minister Modi was released the Tirukkural in 13 languages including Hindi, Urdu and Arabic
- Narendra Modi released the traditional book of Tamils, Thirukkural, which has been translated into 13 languages, at the Kashi-Tamil Sangam function.
- With the aim of re-discovering and celebrating the age-old connection between Kashi and Tamil Nadu, the ‘Kashi-Tamil Sangam’ events have been organized in Varanasi from 17th November to 16th December.

IT Tool to improve health of rural SC Community in Chittoor
- Indian Institute of Technology Madras(IIT Madras) has developed an Information Technology tool to monitor and improve the health of rural Scheduled Caste (SC) communities in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.
- The IT Tool, developed using open source software, was deployed to gather detailed household-level annual health-related information.
First greenfield airport in Arunachal Pradesh
- Prime Minister Modi inaugurated a new green airport called Donyi Polo in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. At a cost of Rs.640 crore, a new green airport has been constructed on an area of 680 acres.
- In February 2019, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for a new green airport in Holongi area near the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. With its work complete, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new green airport.
World record by sorting 3500 food bags at Chennai airport
- Chennai Meenambakkam Airport, along with Airport Authority, Mylapore Round Table India, Mylapore Ladies Circle, Women’s Voluntary Organization is organizing an awareness week.
- So far the world record is 2,800 food bags. To break that record, it was awarded a certificate for sorting 3,500 food bags at Chennai airport.

Tamil Music Society Awards Announcement
- In the 80th anniversary of the Tamil Music Association, Dr. S. Soumya will be conferred with the “Music Genius” award and P. Charkurunath Odhuvar with the “Pan Music Genius” award.
- Chief Minister M.K.Stalin will present the awards at the annual function of the music Association starting on December 12 at the Raja Annamalai Forum, Chennai.

- In the 15th Asian Airgun Championship held in South Korea, India has won 30 medals including 25 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
- It is noteworthy that India has won gold in 25 of the total 28 medal rounds in the competition.
Indian record in table tennis by winning medals
- Indian player Manika Patra has created a record by winning a medal in the Asia Cup table tennis tournament.
- Manika won with the score of 11-6,6-11,11-7,12-10,4-11,11-2 in this lively match.
- Earlier in the semi-finals, Manika Patra was assured of a bronze medal at the Asia Cup, though she lost against Miami Ito in another match.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims
- Every day, people all over the world are killed or injured in road traffic accidents. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, road traffic collisions are the leading cause of death among young people aged 15-29.
- In an effort to bring awareness to this ongoing global issue, the United Nations has proclaimed November 20 as World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
