‘The central government has said it will introduce an information policy for the agriculture sector.

  • Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that steps are being taken to introduce an information policy for the agriculture sector.
  • The Central Government plans to create a National Farmers’ Register and include digitalized agricultural land registration details of farmers in it.

The Tamil Nadu Police has announced that the police should be given a compulsory weekend leave.

  • Law and Order DGP of the Tamil Nadu Police C. Silenthrababu has ordered that the Tamil Nadu Police be given a compulsory weekend leave.
  • Guards are told to take a weekly break one day a week to take care of their health and to spend enough time with their family.

Excavation has started at  Porpanaikottai.

India-Indonesia

  • The 36th edition of the India-Indonesia Integrated Patrol (CORPAT) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy will take place from July 30 to July 31.
  • Indian-built in-house Marine Patrol Ship (INS) Sarayu will carry out integrated patrol (CORPAT) mission with Indonesian naval vessel KRI Pung Domo from 30 July 2021.
  • India and Indonesia have been conducting integrated patrols through the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) twice a year since 2002.
  • Maritime activities are aimed at protecting this important part of the Indian Ocean region for merchant shipping, international trade and legal conduct.

Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy’s Birthday – July 30

  • Muthulakshmi Reddy was born on July 30, 1886 in the then Pudukottai principality in Tamil Nadu as the daughter of Narayanasamy and Chandrammal.
  • India’s first female MLA she is the 136th birthday of Muthulakshmi.

Achievements

  • First student at King’s College, Pudukkottai. She was the first female doctor to study medicine at the University of Chennai.
  • From 1927 to 1930 he was a Member of the Legislative Assembly and Deputy Speaker of the Chennai Province.
  • The first woman to hold the position of Deputy Speaker of the Legislature. First female mayor of Chennai Corporation. First female chairperson of the Chennai Provincial Social Welfare Board. She is the first president of the Indian Women’s Association.

Community
