‘The central government has said it will introduce an information policy for the agriculture sector.

• Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has said that steps are being taken to introduce an information policy for the agriculture sector.
• The Central Government plans to create a National Farmers’ Register and include digitalized agricultural land registration details of farmers in it.
• Currently the Farmers’ Register has been compiled with the details that are generally featured in various records of the Department of Agriculture and the Government.
• Minister Tomar said the main objective of the project was to reduce the cost to farmers, increase their income and improve the quality of produce.

Assam – Mizoram border problem

• Mizoram Chief Minister Soram Thanga has said that North East India will remain united as tensions remain high in the border areas between Assam and Mizoram.
• Tensions have been high for the past few days due to clashes between Mizoram border villagers, police and Assam border villagers.

The Rajasthan government has launched a campaign called “Mission Niryatak Bano”.

• Government of Rajasthan launches “Mission Execution Pano” to promote exports from Rajasthan
• The Industry Department of the Government of Rajasthan and the Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) have launched the ‘Mission Nirayatak Bano’ campaign to encourage interested exporters in Rajasthan.

The Tamil Nadu Police has announced that the police should be given a compulsory weekend leave.

• Law and Order DGP of the Tamil Nadu Police C. Silenthrababu has ordered that the Tamil Nadu Police be given a compulsory weekend leave.
• Guards are told to take a weekly break one day a week to take care of their health and to spend enough time with their family.
• It has been said that overtime pay should be given to the policemen who report that they do not need weekly rest and to the policemen who are on duty on the day off.

Excavation has started at  Porpanaikottai.

• Excavation work has commenced at Porpanaikottai, Pudukottai district, which has been identified as the site of the Sangakkala fort.
• Archaeological Survey of India has given permission for this excavation work with the fort and bastions.
• Archaeologists have unearthed fragments of black and purple, iron fragments made of steel, colorless glass crystal, and pottery with symbols.
• Beads are available in green, crimson, purple, brown, black and yellow colors belonging to the Sangam period.

India-Indonesia

• The 36th edition of the India-Indonesia Integrated Patrol (CORPAT) between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy will take place from July 30 to July 31.
• Indian-built in-house Marine Patrol Ship (INS) Sarayu will carry out integrated patrol (CORPAT) mission with Indonesian naval vessel KRI Pung Domo from 30 July 2021.
• India and Indonesia have been conducting integrated patrols through the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) twice a year since 2002.
• Maritime activities are aimed at protecting this important part of the Indian Ocean region for merchant shipping, international trade and legal conduct.
• Seeks to strengthen maritime cooperation between the two navies and build strong ties of friendship throughout the Indo-Pacific.

For the first time in Tamil Nadu, a liver transplant center has been opened by a robot.

• For the first time in Tamil Nadu, a robotic liver transplant center was inaugurated by First Minister MK Stalin at Rela Hospital in Chennai.

A new type of gun called ‘Trika’ has been introduced at the Trichy gun factory.

• Introduced the new rifle (Trika) designed and manufactured at the Trichy Rifle Factory.
• This newer Trika gun is a small rifle weighing 3.1 kg.
• The Trika is designed to hide the light and reduce noise during firing and to shoot farther than other guns.

• Djokovic’s dream of winning a Golden Slam was shattered when he lost in the men’s tennis singles semifinals.
• Germany’s No. 4 seed Alexander Verev defeats world number one Djokovic to advance to the final.
• Alexander Verev clashes with Russian player Karen Kachanov in the final.
• Aussie in the same year. Degree at French, Wimbledon, US Open, Golden Slam if Olympic gold is won.
• 198 In 1988, only German athlete Steffi Graf set a Golden Slam record.
• Djokovic has won the Aussie, French and Wimbledon titles this year.

• Tokyo Olympics singles badminton qualifies for second consecutive semifinals sindu
• Japan’s Aken Emakuchi clashes in the quarterfinals.

• Lovelina faces defending world champion Puiznas Sarmenelli of Turkey in the semifinals.

• Indian men’s team qualifies for the quarterfinals against Japan

• India has the distinction of being the only team to win 8 gold medals at the Olympics so far. The Indian men’s team has not won a medal at the Olympics since 1980.

Women’s teams

• India beat Ireland in the women’s category. Thus retaining the quarterfinal opportunity.
• India face South Africa in their last match. Indian women will qualify for the quarterfinals only if they win.
• India qualified for the last 2016 Olympics 36 years later. Tokyo has qualified for the tournament for the second time in a row

Avinash Chapley

• Men’s 3000m at Tokyo Major Olympic Stadium In the Steeplechase category, Indian Avinash Chapley placed 13th overall with all the heats. However, in the 8:18:12 minute, Chappelle set a new national record.
• Chappell broke his own record of 8:20; 20 minutes in the Federation Cup last March.

Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy’s Birthday – July 30

• Muthulakshmi Reddy was born on July 30, 1886 in the then Pudukottai principality in Tamil Nadu as the daughter of Narayanasamy and Chandrammal.
• India’s first female MLA she is the 136th birthday of Muthulakshmi.

Achievements

• First student at King’s College, Pudukkottai. She was the first female doctor to study medicine at the University of Chennai.
• From 1927 to 1930 he was a Member of the Legislative Assembly and Deputy Speaker of the Chennai Province.
• The first woman to hold the position of Deputy Speaker of the Legislature. First female mayor of Chennai Corporation. First female chairperson of the Chennai Provincial Social Welfare Board. She is the first president of the Indian Women’s Association.

Community

• Foremost among those who fought for feminism. Who fought for the right to drive for women. He was the one who brought the bill to abolish the Devadasi system which had existed for a long time. This bill became law in the name of 1947 Chennai Devadasi Act.
• He started the hostel for women in 1930. In 1952, he established the Adyar Cancer Center in Chennai.

World Day Against Human Trafficking – July 30

• World Day Against Trafficking is observed every year on July 30 to raise awareness about the plight of human trafficking victims and to promote and protect their rights.
