DA Hiked – Happy News For Central Govt. Employees: The central government has hiked the Dearness Allowance of 4% for central employees and pensioners with an effect from 01.01.2023. By this hike, the new DA will become 42% from 38%. This is a piece of happy news for central government employees.
This is officially announced by the Information and Broadcasting Minister Mr.Anurag Thakur in the press conference on Friday. This hike will benefit over 47.58 lakh central government employees and 69.76 lakh pensioners said the minister.
DA will be given to the employees to face the inflation in the country and it will be revised twice (January and July) in a year depending upon the economic status of the country. The last DA revision was done on September 28, 2022, and it was effective from July 1, 2022.
