Chennai Custom House Recruitment 2021 Qualification

Age Limit

Candidate age limit for Sukhani vacancy is 30 years and for Seaman and Greaser vacancy age limit should be 25 years as on closing date is mandatory to apply.

Other Criteria

For Sukhani

Candidate should pass Eighth Standard and 7 years service on sea going vessel with 2 years experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxiliary sails is essential, and certificate of competency for inland master Second class or Certificate of Service and Matriculation or equivalent is desirable.

For Seaman

Candidate should have 03 years experience in sea going vessel with the 2 years in helmsman and seamanship work is essential and Certificate of Fishery Training School then eight standard pass or equivalent is desirable.

For Greaser

Candidate should have Two years experience in sea going vessel on main engine and auxiliary machinery maintenance is essential, Operator Training Certificate of Fishery Training School and Eight standard pass or equivalent is desirable.

Chennai Custom House Recruitment 2021 Salary Details

Shortlisted candidates are eligible to get a salary for Sukhani vacancy is Rs. 25500 to Rs. 81100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-, for Seamen and Greaser post salary is Rs. 18000/- to Rs. 56900/- per month with Grade pay of Rs. 1800/- from the respective board.

Chennai Custom House Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

Candidates are shortlisted based on Written Exam on General knowledge and Technical Question relating to the post. The candidate qualified in the written examination will be called for interview.
