  • The National and the State Disaster Response Forces, the Fire Services and the Police Departments, the Navy and the Air Force took part in the international tsunami mock drill across the State.

J&K SAC okays Centre, state’s joint venture for development of Ratle HEP

  • Jammu and Kashmir State Administrative Council (SAC) has approved formation of a joint venture between the Centre and the state government for development of 850 Mega Watt Ratle Hydro Electric Project (HEP).


Facial recognition facility from 2019 at Bengaluru International Airport

  • Bengaluru International Airport plans to roll out facial recognition facility for the passengers of some select airlines from early next year.

Monetary limit for filing cases in DRT doubled to Rs 20 lakh

  • The government doubled the monetary limit to 20 lakh rupees for filing loan recovery application in the Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT) by banks and financial institutions aimed at helping reduce pendency of cases in DRTs.There are 39 DRTs in the country.

  • India and the United States began a new generation of military and security cooperation by signing Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement (COMCASA).
