  • The Andaman and Nicobar Command, the only joint tri-services operational Command of the country, is celebrating its 18th Raising Day. The joint tri-services operational Command was created in 2001 to safeguard India’s strategic interests in the region.

  • NASA’s New Horizons probe is on course to flyby the Kuiper Belt object nicknamed Ultima Thule, which is at a distance of 6.6 billion kilometers from Earth this New Year. This event will set the record for the most distant object ever visited by a spacecraft.

Tiny spheres can trap water pollutant

  • Scientists have created tiny spheres that can catch and destroy bisphenol A (BPA), a synthetic chemical used to make plastics that often contaminates water.

  • Farman Basha won silver and Paramjeet Kumar won the bronze in the 49 kg men’s powerlifting event.

World Wrestling Championships
