- The three-day Silver Jubilee celebrations of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) begin to mark the occasion. The Commission is completing 25 years of its existence with its 26th Foundation Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Silver Jubilee Foundation Day of the Commission in New Delhi.

Sri Lankan Police Officers participate in Industrail Security training program
- A team of 30 Sri Lankan Police Officers participated in a training program on Industrial security at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) in Hyderabad. The training programme was fully-funded by the Government of India, with a sponsorship of over 50 lakh Sri Lankan rupees.

Government hikes import duty on certain communication items up to 20%
- The government has hiked the import duty on certain communication items, including base stations, to up to 20 per cent as part of efforts to check a widening current account deficit by curbing imports.
Chinese Stock market’s plunge to lowest levels in four years
- China stock markets plunged to their lowest levels in four years following a global rout, marking the lowest level since November 2014.

13th India-Japan Annual Summit
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit to Japan on 28-29 of this month for the 13th India-Japan Annual Summit. This will be the fifth Annual Summit meeting between Prime Minister Modi and the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
13th Annual Convention of Central Information Commission
- President Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the 13th Annual Convention of Central Information Commission in New Delhi.
- The Convention will deliberate on three specific subjects – Data privacy and Right to Information, Amendment in the RTI Act and Implementation of the RTI Act.

Self-Employment Scheme for identified manual scavengers
- Government is implementing a Self- Employment Scheme for the Rehabilitation of identified manual scavengers under which onetime cash assistance, skill development training and loan subsidy will be provided for their rehabilitation.
