Foundation stone of a tertiary cancer centre
- Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane laid the foundation stone of a tertiary cancer centre in Panaji. He also laid the foundation stone for a day care centre for mentally ill persons and launched an awareness program on Swawlambhan scheme, which aims to make women self-reliant.

- US President Donald Trump has asked China to immediately remove all tariffs on US agricultural products.
US slaps new sanctions on Venezuela
- The United States has slapped new sanctions on Venezuela. The sanctions were imposed a day after Russia and China vetoed a US and European resolution at the UN Security Council that called for unimpeded aid deliveries.

- The United States is seeking information on the potential misuse of American-made F-16 fighter jets by Pakistan against India in violation of the end-user agreement.

- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the Construction Technology India Event, 2019 event at Vigyan Bhavan. He said that elements from several schemes, including PM Awas Yojana, HRIDAY and AMRUT, are oriented towards transforming the housing sector.

- India’s Shashank Shekhar won the 10 kilometre race of Nepal’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Open Marathon and Run for Fun held in Kathmandu. Shekhar of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Contingent at Embassy of India in Kathmandu secured first position.
