  • The Lovely Professional University (LPU) announced it has been slated to host world’s biggest science event – the Indian Science Congress.

Isro offers e-vehicle cell technology to firms for Rs 1 crore

  • Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has offered the industry its indigenously developed lithium ion cell technology at a cost of Rs 1 crore for its use in automobiles.
  • The e-vehicle green project initiative is expected to promote the government’s zero emission policy.

SoftBank to invest up to $100 billion for solar power generation in India

  • SoftBank Group Corp has decided to invest $60 billion-$100 billion in solar power generation in India.
  • The company is expected to make the investment through a fund backed by Saudi Arabia’s government, NHK said. Saudi Arabia is the largest investor in SoftBank’s Vision Fund, which raised over $93 billion last year.

PhonePe partners with Ola

  • Flipkart-owned PhonePe said it has partnered cab aggregator Ola that will allow riders to book rides using the former’s payment platform.

4th meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will chair the fourth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhawan, the 17th June.

Composite water management index

  • Gujarat has emerged the top state in composite water management in the country, followed by Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra in the first-of-its-kind ranking of states on management of water.
