Gadkari lays foundation for several NH projects
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stones for several national highway projects at Roing in Lower Dibang Valley District. He also inaugurated two bridges over the Lohit and Dibang River.
Maharashtra
Rs 150 cr relief to onion growers
- The Maharashtra cabinet approved an ex-gratia payment of Rs.200 per quintal rate for onions sold between November 1 to December 15.
- Rs 150 crore compensation comes as a big relief to the onion producing farmers who had to sell their produce at low prices.

UN Security Council to vote on sending observers to Yemen
- The United Nations Security Council will vote to endorse the ceasefire agreed by the warring parties in Yemen’s Hodeidah region and authorise an advance UN team to begin monitoring the deal.
U.S. plans to withdraw troops from Afghanistan
- President Donald Trump is planning to withdraw more than 5,000 of the 14,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

3 astronauts return from International Space Station
- Three astronauts returned to Earth after more than six months aboard the International Space Station. A Russian Soyuz capsule with NASA’s Serena Aunon-Chancellor, Russian Sergey Prokopyev and German astronaut Alexander Gerst of the European Space Agency landed on the snow-covered steppes in Kazakhstan.
