Dr Reddy’s rolls out Sputnik V Covid-19 vaccine in India: Made in India shots may be Cheaper. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has said that the imported doses Russia’s Sputnik V Covid 19 vaccine have been priced at Rs. 948 + 5 % GST per dose. It will cost ₹995.40 per shot, said the company’s partner in India Dr Reddy’s Laboratories on Friday.
“The imported doses of the vaccine are presently priced at an MRP of Rs 948 + 5 percent GST per dose, with the possibility of a lower price point when local supply begins. The Company is working closely with its six manufacturing partners in India to fulfill regulatory requirements to ensure smooth and timely supply,” Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories said in a BSE filing.
The company said that the first first consignment of imported doses of the Sputnik V vaccine that landed in India on 01.05.2021 received regulatory clearance from the Central Drugs Laboratory, Kasauli on 13.05.2021. Important Doses are expected over the upcoming months and subsequently. Supply of the Sputnik V vaccine from Indian manufacturing partners.

The first dose of the vaccine was also administered in Hyderabad on Friday as part of a limited pilot and soft launch of Sputnik V in India.
“It is hopefully the vaccine be available in the market next week. We’re hopeful that the sale of the limited supply that has come from there (Russia) will begin next week,” Niti Aayog VK Paul said.
