The UPSC Consultative Meeting, held on 09.04.2021. The Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Rajiv Ranjan and Home Secretary Prabhakaran and Police DGP has attended the meeting at Delhi.
Following the Assembly elections, top officials, including the Chief Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the DGP of Police, left for Delhi. They arrived in Delhi this morning by plane from Chennai. It has been reported, in particular, that they arrived in Delhi this morning at 11 a.m. to attend a consultative meeting on behalf of the Central Executive Committee.
The UPSC meeting scheduled for last year was cancelled due to Corona Pandemic. As a result, this year’s meeting is set to take place today. This consultation meeting is where key decisions regarding the promotion of IAS and IPS are made. This Central Board of Directors meeting is regarded as especially important in terms of promotion.
At today’s consultative meeting, the Board of Directors will, in particular, hold a full consultation meeting with officials representing each state.
